| Mission Martial Arts has developed
martial arts programs that are specifically geared towards the adult
student. Building on the foundation of gradual warm ups and stretching,
our
adults increase their flexibility while increasing balance and power.
Through our martial arts programs all
students
are able to develop:

Our adult martial arts program
is a complete training system that not only teaches the martial arts
of Tae Kwon Do and Hap Ki Do, but
also
combines
high intensity fitness kickboxing with realistic self-defense techniques.
Exercise and Improved Well Being
Martial
arts strengthens your body and improves your health through physical
exercise and conditioning. Isometric and dynamic tension exercises
will allow you to gain better muscle tone and more strength. A gradual
building process of safe and easy stretching techniques will enhance
flexibility, while breathing and concentration exercises lead to
sharper reflexes and senses.
The discipline of martial arts leads to increased energy, better
health and fitness, greater coordination, and higher self-esteem.
These qualities are vital to a happier, longer life. Self-Defense
The
Mission Martial Arts program helps you recognize and handle situations in which
self-defense may be required. Using our completely integrated system,
you can learn the techniques you need to defend yourself intelligently
in threatening situations, including punching, kicking, locking,
throwing and choking techniques. You will also learn valuable advice
on how to avoid potentially dangerous situations and the ability
to discern what level of force is necessary for a given encounter.
School Teams and Weapons Training
Students
also have the opportunity to learn martial arts weapons and participate
in a school demonstration team. The demonstration team performs
at various events throughout the year and receives special training.
HIT team members learn advanced sparring and self-defense
techniques of Olympic style Tae Kwon Do training Sessions. These
are elite groups of students who want to push their skill level
to an intense level. We offer 3 separate teams which compete in
sparring and forms.
