CHUNG-MU (30 Movements) was the name given to the great Admiral Yi Sun Sin of the Yi dynasty. He was reputed to have invented the first armored battleship (kobukson) which was the precursor of the present day submarine in 1592 AD The reason this pattern finishes with a left hand attack is to symbolize his regrettable death, having no chance to show his loyalty to the king.
Form Definition
One Steps
Red belts need to know all 1-steps from White-Brown.
Brown with 5 stripes should begin practicing all earlier 1-steps.
Self Defense
Red belts need to know all Self-Defense from White-Brown.
Brown with 5 stripes should begin practicing all earlier Self-Defense.
BOARD BREAK
Red belts will break 3 boards with Jump Reverse and 2 boards with Knife Hand strike (alt. knuckle punch for adults).
Brown Belts with 5 stripes who are testing for Red belt will have their break selected by Master Manwell on test day. Practice all earlier breaking techniques, including the alternate hand techniques (see the student handbook).
